TAO OF KUNG FU Kung
Fu is a concept that has from origin no sense in the Chinese fighting
art. When this is changed is not clear. Kung Fu (mandarin dialect)
or Gung Fu (Cantonese dialect) is a term that the Chinese have great
difficulty explaining. The term includes concepts as, ability, hard
work, time and patience. The term Kung Fu is a very common synonym
for the Chinese martial arts, which in fact has very little to do
with these arts. Formal better are expressions like Wu Shu or Chuan
Fa.
With the traditional Kung Fu schools, it is very difficult to achieve the status of teacher. The required time in our school, even for the hardest working students, is an average of 12 to 15 years long. The powerful underlined techniques and deep stances are used for training aims, which demand a strong character, will power, patience, but also good concentration and discipline.
It doesn't matter what is being done in the training process, whether it be stretching or practicing the forms, as long as it is done to the best of your ability. Don't forget Kung Fu means hard work and hard work is the only way to success. |
